The NOxBOXi nitric oxide delivery and monitoring system provides a comprehensive means of delivering and monitoring inhaled nitric oxide therapy. 

Inhaled nitric oxide therapy is by prescription (Rx) Only.  The NOxBOXi nitric oxide delivery system must only be used in accordance with the indications, contraindications, warnings, precautions, and other information and conditions of use described in the nitric oxide drug prescribing information and labeling (currently neonates in the US).

Overview

The NOxBOXi system delivers and monitors nitric oxide for use in inhaled nitric oxide therapy both in continuous and synchronous nitric oxide delivery modes.

Inhaled nitric oxide requires patient monitoring and management to help avoid patient complications due to toxic levels of nitrogen dioxide and rebound pulmonary hypertension associated with weaning from inhaled nitric oxide.

The system has a step by step, guided interface to enable ease of use. The NOxBOXi system is designed primarily for use in hospitals with a portable, detachable monitor to provide continuous treatment for transit and transfer conditions.

Permanently affixed to the NOxBOXi system, the NOxMixer™ system is intended to deliver a continuous flow of nitric oxide (NO), mixed in line with oxygen (O2) for emergency applications and to manually ventilate a patient.

Device Warnings

The NOxBOXi nitric oxide delivery system must only be used in accordance with the indications, contraindications, warnings, precautions, and other information and conditions of use described in the nitric oxide drug prescribing information and labeling (currently neonates in the US). Refer to this material prior to use.  Only validated ventilator systems should be used in conjunction with the NOxBOXi delivery device. Refer to the Technical Guide for a full list of currently validated ventilators.  Ensure that the NOxBOXi delivery device is kept plugged in at all time and keep available a backup battery power supply and an independent reserve nitric oxide delivery system to address power and system failures.  The NOxBOXi system is MR unsafe and should not used in the MRI suite. The NOxBOXi system is not intended for use in the vicinity of electrosurgical or diathermy devices.  To avoid serious injury, pay attention to all precautionary labels that are attached to the equipment, cylinders, containers, and boxes before startup. Do not remove or obscure any label.  The product user bears sole responsibility for any malfunction that results from improper use, faulty maintenance, improper repair, damage, or unauthorized alteration by any source not authorized to do so by NOxBOX Ltd.
